This desk seems very sturdy and it would have a great look if it hadn't got all banged up. I'm not sure if that is the fault of the company or the shippers but not only was the styrofoam all busted up the top of the desk was damaged on both back ends of the big presswood top piece and on the top of that piece. The only manufacturing problem was with one screw which I had to use pliers to get in. This is definitely a two person assembly. Don't do it alone like I did unless you want to get frustrated.
