When it comes to having to buy a new chair I always end up doing a lot of comparison, research and reading reviews. This time I was looking for a mesh chair because my son had bought one for his gaming setup and I thought it was better than my Sam's Club Serta office chair. Cushion is nice for a while but after sitting for hours, the heat tends to get trapped and then you are left with a version of swamp-ass. After getting this chair and using it, I can say with confidence that this might be the one. it feels like a bucket seat and holds you in all the right places without squeezing you. Swamp-ass be damned because you have a hammock for a seat. Solid construction, comfortable and worth the investment.I was a little skeptical when I bought this chair. At the time, it only had one review; however, it was an "Amazon's Choice" when searching for chairs so I decided I would take the risk and I could always return it if things didn't work out.The chair was pretty easy to assemble. Everything was great for about a week or so and then I ran into a problem. The chair can recline in three different positions: all the way up, slightly leaned back, or all the way leaned back (feels like you're going to fall over backwards). The mechanism used for selecting the amount of reclining you wanted wasn't working properly, so the chair would recline all the way back anytime you leaned back in your chair.This obviously wasn't going to work, so I got in touch with Amazon customer service and they got me in contact with the seller. The seller then asked for pictures of what was wrong, so I sent them some pictures and a couple videos showing the mechanism not working as it should. They immediately shipped me a new chair and said I didn't need to return the previous one. This was nice since the only way I could have returned the previous chair would have been to completely disassemble it, pack it up in a box and drop it off at UPS.I was a little worried that since this was a third party seller, that they might give me some push back about the chair. Thankfully they didn't at all, other than asking for pictures of what was wrong, which I think is justified.Overall, I've really enjoyed the (second) chair. It's been great for the price and the customer support was excellent!This is a very comfortable chair. I was afraid the mesh bottom would be too firm but it is not. It does not make you sweat as it does allow air to flow through. I enjoy the reclining feature. I do wish the lumbar support was adjustable. I couldn't tell by the photos whether it was or not and some of the reviews said it was so I took a chance. It is not adjustable. The entire seat back reclines but the lumbar support itself does not adjust for depth. I wish it did because it does not come forward quite enough to fully support my lumbar but it may be fine for everybody else. I have a fairly pronounced arch in my back and have had lower back surgery so I need more support than most people might. I also have a very long tailbone that has been been giving me a lot of problems when I sit for the last few years. This chair angles down in the back and if I scoot back as far as possible, I am able to sit without having my tailbone touch the chair with a lot of pressure which has been a big relief and one of the goals I was hoping to accomplish. I did assemble it per the instructions but after sitting in it I decided to turn the armrests backwards as they were too far forward for me when installed as instructed. Putting them on backwards solved that problem and now they are perfect. The wheels also roll smoothly. I would have given five stars if the lumbar support was adjustable. Today is the first day I have used it and am very happy as I am much more comfortable than I was in my old chair.My only gripe is the headrest. I can't comfortably lean my head back onto it while sitting at the desk. Everything else is super solid, very comfortableI only just assembled this chair and haven't spent a whole work day sitting in it yet - but I'm not optimistic.As with any chair you buy on Amazon, the fit may or may not be right for you. I'm not saying this is a bad chair by any means, but just know it may not be the best fit depending on your shape or size.If you so buy the chair you might as well buy better casters at the same time.Here are the pros:+ Looks really nice, much nicer than I expected for the price+ The armrests are as adjustable as any armrests can be, much more adjustable than the rest of the chair.+ Easy to assemble. I spent about 20 minutes inclusive of unpacking all the parts.Negatives:- the casters SUCK. They won't roll on my low pile area rug and I doubt they'd do much better on bare floor.- all of the dimensions seem....off. I'm 5'10 with longish legs and a shortish torso and the seat seems oddly too deep while the lumbar support hits in just the wrong place. I wish it could be adjusted an inch or two higher.- other than the armrests, and height, nothing else adjusts. I didn't expect much for the price, but an adjustment for the lumbar support would make this chair much, much better.Keeps you in a nice posture and supports your lower back, also very comfy when you lay backTook me almost 2 hrs to set up the chair. I was struggling with the screws a little bit. There is 1 small hole that was defected so the screw is stopped in the middle of the way. I couldn’t screw it all the way down. I took it off and then put it back in because of that for like 4 times until I found the reason why. But because there were the other 3 screws already fit so I continued the assembling process. I was extremely upset for the last 40mins because I tried to finished it up. Once I finally finished everything, I sat down to test the chair. I was dying in happiness because The chair is not bad for this price ($171). I think this could be a lot for some people, but also I have some friends who paid for the chair that costs $600. in my case I don’t have that kinda budget like them, so I chose this. I think this item is worth 4/5 stars yall. The cost is still a bit too high for me.
